Not only do we serve the best quality cod and haddock but here at Frankie’s Fish Bar we also look to introduce more diverse fish such as Pollock, John Dory, lemon sole, plaice and many other fish still commonly found in the best fishing waters. Along with great seafood we will be serving the highest quality locally sourced pies and sausages.
The menu boasts our homemade sauces which include
a sweet curry sauce, Mushy peas and tartar sauce to name but a few, all of which are prepared with local ingredients daily.
To accompany your meal you may also want to try one of our mouth watering desserts including New York style cheese cake, Apple Fritters and are scrumptious homemade brownies.
All of our Cod and Haddock are caught from carefully maintained, sustainable areas of Norwegian and Icelandic oceans. At Frankie’s we refuse to source fish from the North Sea or any other area where fish are said to be scarce or not in abundance.
Our potatoes are specially chosen season by season to maintain a consistent, great tasting chip no matter what.

As good as ever
We are now approaching on fish and chips 150th birthday with the first chip shop owner to combine the two back in 1860 and is still proving to be as popular as ever with figures now very similar to the world war two era where the great British favourite was the only dish not to be rationed.
